Ecology Class Project
Mrs. Hesson and her Ecology class would like to thank Roger and Esteal Hendricks for donating a new pink flowering dogwood and Midway Greenhouse in Belle Valley for donating flowers for the flower box in front of the high school. Both were recently planted as part of our efforts in continuing to strive to become a "greener" school.
I would also like to thank Rob Reiter and Wanda Schadd from the Southeast Ohio Joint Waste Management District (centrally located in Caldwell) for coming in to present to my Ecology students on solid and hazardous waste and for allowing us to take a field trip to the landfill in Parkersburg, WV. They reimburse all districts for transportation costs for these field trips so that schools like ours can still learn outside the classroom even though the funding isn't available.
I would also like to thank AEP and the Ohio Energy Project for supplying my Ecology students with several energy saving kits to use in the classroom and implement at home to help them learn more about energy efficiency.
