ODE is changing to a more secure data application. SAFE will be migrating into OH/ID this weekend(5/11/2019).
What does this mean for you?
First and most importantly, if you have had a name change, due to marriage or divorce; OR have had a change in your email address that has not been updated in your SAFE account, you need to log into your SAFE account and update those changes. These changes need to be done this week. The migration is taking place over the weekend(5/11/2019).
Each of us with a SAFE Account (administrators, teachers, aides, coaches, volunteers) will be required to use this new OH/ID platform to apply or renew credentials as it becomes necessary to do so.
Each of us are required to create a new account with OH/ID once the transition is completed. Our email address will be our unique identifier. If our data in SAFE is correct, the initial OH/ID account creation will find the data and pull it in without any problems. That is why the data (name and email address) in SAFE needs to be correct. If you are not sure about your data in SAFE, please take a moment to review it to save issues in the future.
The OH/ID platform will become the place where all the secure areas from SAFE will be accessed as well as other outside secure sites such as ODDEX and eventually the Data Collector. The goal of ODE is to have one single area to access all secure sites.
