Tony goes above and beyond every day to make sure our students get to and from school safely. More importantly, his students absolutely love him! He has built great relationships with the kids on his bus and makes their ride to and from school something they look forward to.
We are incredibly thankful for Tony and the care, dedication, and pride he brings to his job every day. Our transportation staff play such an important role in our school district, and Tony is a great example of that!

This week, we are proud to recognize CES Principal Emma Marshall as our Staff of the Week!
Emma is always willing to step up and do whatever is needed to support our students and staff. Whether it’s traveling for professional development, helping with field trips, parking duty, or simply jumping in wherever she is needed, Emma consistently goes above and beyond for our kids and our school.
This year, Emma has also been laser-focused on literacy and making sure our youngest learners are getting the strong foundation they need to become successful readers. Her commitment to student achievement and her willingness to do the extra things that make a difference are truly appreciated.

This week, we are proud to recognize one of our outstanding kindergarten teachers, Kristina Croucher!
Kristina brings enthusiasm, creativity, patience, and a genuine love of teaching to her classroom every day. Kindergarten is such an important first step in a child's educational journey, and Kristina does an incredible job creating a classroom where students feel safe, supported, encouraged, and excited to learn.
She understands that teaching kindergarten is about much more than academics. It is about helping young students develop confidence, independence, curiosity, and a love for school. Kristina works hard to meet each student where they are and helps them grow throughout the year.
We are grateful for the energy and dedication she brings to our students and our district each day.

This week, we are proud to recognize Donna Spicer, one of our elementary educational aides, as our Staff of the Week!
Donna is a longtime member of the Caldwell Exempted Village School District family who consistently goes above and beyond for our students, our staff, and our school community. Whether she is helping with traffic duty, lunch duty, supporting students in the classroom, or serving as the OAPSE Union President, Donna is always willing to step up and help wherever she is needed.
Her commitment doesn't stop when the school year ends. Donna worked throughout the summer in our Summer Feeding Program, helping make sure our students continued to have access to meals while school was out.
And if that isn't enough, Donna is also very active in our Noble County Fair, which is happening this week! She truly embodies what it means to be someone who gives her time and energy to both our schools and our community.
Donna, thank you for everything you do for our kids, your coworkers, and Caldwell. Your dedication, willingness to help, and commitment to our community do not go unnoticed.
This week, we are proud to recognize Amy McElfresh, someone who truly embodies what it means to be a team player!
Amy is much more than a bus driver. She is always willing to step up and help wherever she is needed, whether that means working in the kitchen, helping with custodial work, driving our students on athletic and band trips, or simply taking on whatever extra task needs to be done. She is truly a jack of all trades and someone we can always count on.
But perhaps the most important part of Amy's job is the relationships she builds with our students. The kids on her bus route absolutely love her, and it is easy to see why. She makes them feel safe, cared for, and valued every day.
Amy's willingness to serve, her positive attitude, and her dedication to our students and district do not go unnoticed.

We’re kicking off our first Staff of the Week recognition by celebrating our Maintenance Technician, Rich Trisler!
Rich worked tirelessly throughout the summer painting classrooms, hallways, and door trim while also completing countless repairs and upgrades throughout our buildings. His hard work and attention to detail have helped make sure our schools were ready for students and staff to return.

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming our Caldwell Alumni back home for a special gathering at the school. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces reconnecting, sharing stories, and reminiscing about their time as Redskins.
A special thank you goes to our Caldwell FFA Chapter for providing outstanding service throughout the event. Our students represented our district with professionalism, hospitality, and pride, and we couldn't be more appreciative of their efforts.
For many alumni, this was their first opportunity to be back inside the school in quite some time. We hope today's visit brought back great memories and created a few new ones as well.

Derek serves as an intervention specialist at Caldwell Elementary, where he works tirelessly to support our students and help them succeed every day. In addition to his impact in the classroom, he also leads our baseball program with dedication and passion.
This past week, Coach Sidwell and the team earned a huge sectional final victory with an upset over Toronto, an exciting accomplishment that reflects the hard work and commitment of both Derek and his players.

Tad wears many hats in our district and excels in every one of them. Whether he’s announcing our events and bringing energy to the crowd, coaching and supporting our student-athletes, or serving as an outstanding Graduation and Workforce Advisor, his impact is felt across our entire school community.
Tad plays a key role in organizing internships and expanding career-connected learning opportunities for our students, helping them build meaningful pathways beyond graduation. His dedication to preparing students for success in the real world truly sets him apart.

Chad is our high school engineering teacher, and he consistently goes above and beyond to create hands-on, meaningful learning experiences for our students. From working with drones, robotics, and 3D printers to pushing students to think creatively and solve real-world problems, his classroom is always full of innovation.
Most recently, Chad has taken things a step further by having his students design and create house address signs to help emergency responders quickly and easily locate homes. This project not only builds technical skills but also allows students to make a real difference in our community.
